I'm back

Yes, here I am again after having two days (daze) of radiioactive material being put into my body. While still waiting for the cardologist to determine if I am to remain here on earth. In the meanwhile I have something that bothers me and I feel the need for typing this. I am sick of all the blowhards in the trib decry that their dogs need parks, while our infrastructure goes to pot. Our streets are some of the worse "tank trails" I've ever experienced. And believe me I've been on some tank rails.

It appears that our city coffers must be overflowing with cash, as the city now wants to spend 1 million dollars to refurbish Lincoln Park. To me that's like putting perfume on a pig. While it smells better, it's remains a pig. Somehow it appears that spending HUGE sums of money doesn't merit a Public Hearing, in order to gather input from it's citizens. During the last elections, we discussed things that were more in line with a progressive city. Swimming pools and activities directed at our children would afford them more opportunities. As it stands, things still remain the same. No swimming pools or activities for our childern.

I find it appalling that in a city that claims it's proud heritage and diversity, there are some on city council that appear to be out of the loop, still refusing to move forward...
